Fat Injection and Transfer

Although most people consider fat "the enemy" in their lives, it may be an advantage when harvested and re-injected in the face to improve various cosmetic problems. Fat injection has been around for years, but has re-emerged due to new technologies and research. There can be advantages to using a patient's own fat for an implant material such as; it is readily available, is a living tissue, will not be rejected, feels natural and can be replenished. Fat transfer can be used to help:

• Increase lip size
• Correct facial folds, laugh lines and wrinkles
• Increase cheekbone size and contour
• Fill in acne or traumatic scars
• Fill in facial defects

The procedure for fat transfer is performed in the office of Laser Cosmetic Solutions with local anesthesia. Fat is harvested by liposuction from the abdomen, thigh, or buttock area. The fat is then washed, treated and injected into the face to help correct specific problems. Since fat is a living tissue, it will become part of the body's natural tissue. Some of the fat is digested by the body, and often times several injections are performed in the same area before the results are permanent.

Brazilian Butt Lift

The brazilian butt lift is a type of butt augmentation procedure which can result in a more youthful, prominent, and a perkier buttocks. Dr. Carreon removes fat from selected areas of your body using Body Jet Water Liposuction first, then re-injects the fat cells into your buttocks. The procedure is designed to fill the upper quadrant of your buttocks so that the butt may appear lifted and perky.
